Purpose

The Joining of Plastics and Composites TIG focuses on the chemical and/or mechanical bonding of polymers to each other and to other materials such as wood, ceramics, and metals. This group endeavors to encourage research, development, and dissemination of information on the science and technology underlying all joining methods.
